What is Sound Change Teacher Training Academy?

Sound Change Teacher Training Academy is a place for Suzuki teachers who want to deepen their teaching, expand their skills, and become the teachers they aspire to be. Founded by Suzuki teacher trainer Meg Lanfear, founder and director of the Oak Park String Academy and creator of the Equitable Tuition Program, the Academy brings together decades of teaching experience, teacher training, and practical experience building a thriving Suzuki program. Through courses, enrichment opportunities, and thoughtful professional development, Sound Change explores not only what we teach, but how we teach—and how we can reach each student more effectively. My goal is to help teachers discover the depth and possibility of the Suzuki Method and give them practical tools to bring its transformative power to more children and families. Because when we become better teachers, we create better musical experiences—and that can change lives.
